Establish an improved and coherent ISVV process, to be used by the ESA projects

Challenge

Establish an improved and coherent ISVV process, to be used by the ESA projects and define the requirements for the future installation of an ISVV and ESA centre. Create and publish an ESA ISVV Guide for usage within the European Industry and thus promote a consistent application of ISVV to European-based projects.

Solution

Critical Software was responsible for:

  • The definition and establishment of the technical specification analysis process;
  • Study of current ISVV tools and processes (especially for Design Analysis and Source Code Verification);
  • Conduct interviews with international institutions that perfrom ISVV activities (namely NASA and JAXA);
  • Define, consolidate, improve and validate the design analysis and the code analysis processes;
  • Support the establishment of the validation process.
